Review: Something So Unscripted (Something So #4) by Natasha Madison

Finding my teammate in bed with my wife made the decision I had been fighting with for years easier. It’s time to move on.

A fresh start and a new NHL team in a big city. Most importantly, it’s my son Jack’s best shot.

It would be both of our best shots.

After a bad childhood, I made sure I would succeed.

The problem is I die a little with each patient I lose. It’s part of my career at Hudson Children’s Oncology Hospital, but it doesn’t make the sting of loss any easier.

Seeking anything other than a life saved isn’t on my agenda until a NHL player walks into my hospital with his son.

We’re officially off script the moment we meet.

If this love is anything, it’s unscripted.

This book was everything I could ever want and more. I love books with this kind of theme. It makes my heart melt.

Zack just caught his wife in bed with his best friend, but he doesn’t have time to dwell on that, because his son is sick, and he needs to put him first. He asks to be traded into a new team, so he could be closer to the one doctor who could potentially save his son Jack’s life.

Denise is one of the best oncologists. She wears her heart on her sleeve, and she cares about each and every one of her patients. She wants to save everyone, but that is impossible. When she sees Zack and Jack for the first time, there’s an instant connection. She’s more desperate than ever to save this particular patient.

I absolutely loved this book! Nothing warms my heart more than stories like this. I adored how Denise loved Jack like he was her own son. Their bond was really heart warming. Be prepared to cry, but to also fall in love.
