Distraction: The great intensity, novelty, or attractiveness of something other than the object of attention.

Sven is a man who takes pride in his ability to separate himself from his emotions. He’s a man who knows who he is and where he’s going in life, a man who needs no one, because needing someone, anyone, is a weakness.

His past taught him love isn’t enough.

Maggie wants the happily ever after, but has never picked the right men, or stuck around long enough, to build a forever. It’s always been easier to get out early, before emotions make things messy.

When Maggie wakes up naked in Sven’s bed, with no memory of the night before, these two must be honest about their feelings and face their fears, so they can build a future together.

Will love be enough for them to get their happy ending together, or will a threat from outside strike them down before they ever have a chance?

4 stars

The sneak peek at the end of Obligation of Sven and Maggie’s had me so excited!

Maggie was a caring but careful person. I pitied the way she grew up. Teenagers would often complain about how strict their parents are, but Maggie’s parents were so carefree that she didn’t really have parents. She meets Sven when her sister allegedly gets beat up and drugged in his club. She wanted to find out who did it, and she wanted that person to be punished.

Sven had my attention since he appeared in until November. I wasn’t really sure if he was forever material, but he proved me wrong. The way he was with Maggie was so heart warming. What his mother did to his dad really affected him. I would have been traumatized as well. I’m glad he took care of Maggie the way he did.

This book had a tendency to skip a few details. Sometimes I’d feel like I was missing something. With the sneak peek at the end of Obligation, I thought this book was going to be all about that, but it wasn’t really highlighted as much as I thought it would. I got something much deeper than what I anticipated, which is great.

Justin’s book though. I just know I’m going to love it!!! He was so quirky, nerdy, and lovable in the previous books. Now he’s all manly and ugh I can’t wait!!!
