Reading Habits Tag

I’ve been tagged by Raven from Dreamy Addictions. Thanks for tagging and loving me! haha ❤

1. Do you have a certain place at home for reading?

I mostly read in our living room. The light is great there, and it’s close to my oven. I’m usually baking something, and I don’t want it to burn.

2. Bookmark or random piece of paper?

BOOKMARK! I have so many bookmarks, it’s ridiculous. I don’t even need that much, but I just cannot help myself.

3. Can you just stop reading or do you have to stop after a chapter/a certain amount of pages?

Ha! I can’t just stop reading in the middle of a sentence or conversation. If I do, I’ll read from the start of the sentence or conversation again, just to make sure I didn’t miss anything; and there’s always this voice in the back of my mind making me restless about not really feeling the book. I know, I’m crazy.

4. Do you eat or drink while reading?

Not anymore! I have learned my lesson. I once spilled a drink on one of my books. I died a little inside. I still haven’t recovered from it.

5. Multitasking: Music or TV while reading?

Okay so when I’m reading a really sad book, and I’m really feeling it, that “oh my gosh this is so sad, I might actually die from this” kind of sadness, I like to put really sad music on and feel it a bit more. I’m insane. I like to torture myself. You guys should see me when I do that, I cry so much and make really weird noises to suppress the sobs. I don’t know why I do this.

6. One book at a time or several at once?

I prefer to read one book at a time. When I read two books at once, I usually end up liking one more than the other, and completely ignore the other book. I’m sorry Kiss of Deception. Mark my words, I will finish you someday!

7. Reading at home or everywhere?

I like reading at home better. I’m more focused. Although, I am known to read anywhere. I brought a book to junior and senior prom. Who does that?!

8. Reading out loud or silently in your head?

Silently. I don’t know anyone who likes to read out loud. I guess some people do it at home, alone. It would be weird if they just started reading out loud in public.

9. Do you read ahead or even skip pages?

Yes. I’m sorry okay! Whenever I do this, I somehow always glimpse some major spoilers, and I end up just wanting to strangle myself. Like for this book that I’m so excited to read, but also so terrified to start; I peeked at the 2nd to the last chapter and boom, someone fucking died. I just ugh I wanna slap myself. Now I’m so sad, and I haven’t even started the book yet!

10. Breaking the spine or keeping it like new?

Br-Bre-Break the Sp-Spine?! What are you?!

My books are my babies. I take care of them like I would a new born child. I cry when I see a small rip on a page.

11. Do you write in your books?

NEVER.

I tag whoever is reading this and has not done this tag! If you want to do this tag, then I tag you!

  1. Great Answers! I can relate to most of your answers and yes, we should take care of books like new born babies and I think it’s really a stupid question I mean who would want to break the spine of their books.Anyways, Thanks for Participating! 🙂

  2. Lol the amount of bookmarks I have is ridiculous too! I really like the magnet ones. They are so cute 🙂 I don’t read out loud too. When I do, I feel like I’m not going anywhere with the book because I have to catch my breath blah blah blah. I read way faster when I read silently. I feel so bad with my Percy Jackson books because I broke their spines 😦 It’s the Scholastic edition though so it was hard to NOT break the spine. My poor babies </3

    • Ohhh I have magnet ones too! Right?! You read slower when you read out loud. The paperback ones’ sides are so easy to crease. I read with the book mostly closed. I’d suffer for them haha!
