Review: Save Me (Make or Break #3) by Amanda Heath

Courtney Pierce never thought he would love anyone but Annabella Gage. She was his entire world for eleven years. Even though she was dating his older brother, he couldn’t seem to let her go. Then things shifted and lines became blurred. Pierce wasn’t sure whose bed Annabella should be in anymore.

But Annabella has secrets. Dark secrets she will do anything to protect. So like the crazy witch that she is, she rips Pierce’s heart to shreds and devastates his soul. He’s left with the emotional wreckage and no way out in sight.

Then Rachel Sanders drop kicks into his life. The beautiful brunette is utterly hard to resist and one night of intense passion leads to an unexpected surprise. A surprise that has all their friends shocked, because Rachel and Pierce couldn’t be more different.

Now he’s left with one option and it doesn’t include Annabella. Rachel, though, is full of surprises and Pierce finds their relationship so incredibly easy. Way easier than what he had with Annabella. So easy he finds he didn’t even know what love was before Rachel.

But like any twisted love story, Pierce is hiding dark secrets, too. Secrets that he feels will rip he and Rachel apart. When push comes to shove will Pierce spill those secrets? And if he does, will they separate the new lovers before they even have a chance to begin?

Much like Pierce and Annabella, someone else has something to hide. Let’s hope Rachel sticks around because when this secret comes out. , she’ll be the only one who can save Pierce.

4.75 STARS

Pierce has always been intriguing to me so I could not wait to read this book! I just knew that his book was going to be good when I read the ending of Break Me.

Pierce has been in love with Annabella since he was thirteen. He would have done anything for her and he proved that by changing things for her. He was blind when it came to Annabella. She was a twisted psycho yet he couldn’t see that because he was so in love with her. Annabella broke Pierce’s heart and he was left to agonize about why he loved someone like that.

Rachel went over to Pierce’s house one night so she could see someone who felt even more miserable than she did; which was kind of petty of her. Things happened and now she’s pregnant with Pierce’s baby. Courtney Pierce or “Court”  was so supportive and I was surprised by how much he cared for Rachel. The little things he would do were so heartwarming. Rachel was the exact opposite of Annabella. She tells it like it is and she’s not afraid of what people think about her. She also really cared about Court and genuinely wanted to make him happy.

Annabella. Gosh I hate this bitch.

Why not a whole 5 stars? I just had problems with how the book was too short and rushed. I didn’t get to read a lot of scenes showing Court and Rachel developing deeper feelings for each other. I felt like I missed out on them falling in love with each other. I also hoped there would be a dual POV. I loved being in Courtney Pierce’s head, but I also wanted to be in Rachel’s head so I could swoon along with her and get to know her better. Despite these things, I still loved this book!
